I don't see them having much of an issue with the mod but, at the same time I'm not the one at risk. They seem to think that Disney will all of a sudden have a issue with them creating a mod for the game. I'll post an incomplete wip featurette later if you like. And frankly getting sued is not xwing was well on its way with working prototype in game. I love making this mod as do the rest of the team but at the end of the day we are not paid to do this, we do this for fun. If it goes pear shaped and Disney suddenly feel we are in anyway affecting sales of Battlefront or any other product then we could be in big trouble. I understand this will seem abrupt but I've gone back and forth on this issue a number of times. Granted this film had crowd funding and this no doubt played its part but their claim is of copyright infringement. I've long felt we are no threat to Disney but I recently learned of a Star Trek mod shutting down due to Paramount suing a related fan film. And Maczer is correct, we are making this decision purely because of the increasing risks associated with us using Disney's IP.
